Well, we've got the package from the builders with a whole list of items we need to choose, along with a bunch of catalogues. Perhaps now the dream is getting closer to the reality of renovations? Mind you, I'm not really looking forward to the mess, the early starts, and the stage when the kids have to share a room so the stairs can be put in Missy Moo's room. It will all be worth it, right?
Would you have thought it was difficult to decide on skirtings and cornices, or have realised how greatly the price can vary by adding extra grooves that will just increase the need to dust anyway?
The number of times the brochures state that options X, Y or Z incur 10 - 25% increase in cost is over 15.
We now have 22 days to choose everything and then hopefully actual construction can start????
Time to farm the kids out and to hit the showrooms. Andrew is just going to LOVE that.
